7:00AM 1:00PM Breakfast and Brunch Buffet The Potts Grove Fire Company serves up their monthly breakfast and brunch buffet on Sunday April 21st from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Menu includes eggs, home fries, scrapple and other breakfast favorites. Brunch items will be served starting at 10:00 AM. There’s a new menu each month. Cost is $8.00 for you, $4.00 for your children ages 4-12, and free for children ages 3 and younger. The Potts Grove Fire Company is located off Route 642 between Milton and Danville.
10:00AM 6:00PM Open Studio Tour The 2nd annual Susquehanna River Arts Artist Open Studio tour is scheduled for Saturday April 20th and Sunday April 21st from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM both days. 12:00PM 6:00PM 31 Bingo The Millville Maniacs Youth Baseball Tournament Team will host Thirty One Bingo this Sunday at the Columbia Mall. Doors open at Noon, and lunch will be served. It’s 20 games for $20 with extra games…and door prizes. It’ll be happening in the bingo hall at the Columbia Mall. Proceeds benefit the team’s trip to ESPN Wide World of Sports Rawlings International Youth Baseball Tournament in June.
2:00PM 7:00PM Chicken and Waffles The Defender Fire Company of Berwick is hosting a chicken and waffle dinner this Sunday from 2:00 to 7:00 PM. Cost for you is $8.00, kids ages 3 to 10 are $5.00 and children under 3 are free. It’s an all you can eat event. The Fire Company is located at the corner of 6th and Pine Streets in Berwick.
3:00PM 5:30PM The Underpants The Bloomsburg University Players presents The Underpants; A play by comic genius Steve Martin. Performances are at 7:30 PM from Wednesday April 17th through Saturday April 20th and 3 PM on Sunday April 21st. Tickets are $6 for you and $4 for students and seniors. BU students can see the show for free with a BU Student ID.
4:00PM 5:00PM Handbell Concert The Jubilation Ringers present their 2013 Handbell Concert under the direction of Shelley Giaier. The concert includes instrumentalists and massed ringing with members of the Fountain Ringers and Bells of Grace. It’s happening Sunday April 21st at St. Matthew Lutheran Church at 4:00 PM in Bloomsburg. Advance tickets are $8.00 available at the church office…or get one at the door for $10.00.
All Day Volunteers Needed The American Cancer Society is looking for volunteers for their “Road to Recovery” program. You can volunteer your spare time to provide free transportation taking cancer patients to and from their treatments. Volunteer Drivers are needed in Columbia and Montour Counties. All Day Golf Tournament The Danville Track Boosters are sponsoring a two-man scramble golf tournament at the Links this Sunday. The tournament starts at 9:00 AM, signups begin at 8:00 AM. It’ll be a fun day of golf to benefit Danville Track.
All Day Artist Studio Tour Drive through the spring landscape of Columbia and Montour counties while visiting the Susquehanna River Arts Artists participating in the 2nd Annual Artist Studio Tour. During the tour you will be welcomed into their workshops to tour their studios and discuss their work. The tour is free admission.
All Day Christmas Card Design Contest Father’s Hope is holding their first Christmas card design contest for local youth. Entries must be submitted by May 31st at the office building at 21 North Arch Street in Milton. The theme for the contest is “Merry Christmas In Any Language: Jesus Loves The Orphan Children Of The World.” The contest is open to youth entered in kindergarten through 12th grade. The winning designer will be awarded $50. Entries must be in color and created by hand.
All Day Art Installation Project Bloomsburg University’s Haas Center for the Arts will soon become home to an original art piece designed to celebrate the collaboration of the university and the greater Bloomsburg community. The piece, titled Confluence, will be a 7 foot by 60 foot depiction of the growth and activity of a small town and how the beauty of nature has inspired a wealth of visual art and cultural enrichment in the area. 19 Susquehanna River Artists have collaborated to construct 18 large tiles that will be installed every two weeks until the piece is completed on May 3rd.
All Day National Victims Rights Week National Victims Rights Week is April 21st through the 27th, and the Columbia County Victim Witness Coordinator at the District Attorney’s office will have information available. A table with brochures for crime victims will be set up outside the office on the main floor of the Courthouse. All Day Marcellus Shale Documentary Project The Moose Exchange in Downtown Bloomsburg presents the Marcellus Shale Documentary Project through June 8th.
