11:00AM 7:00PM Lenten Fish Fry Saint Mary’s in Berwick is once again hosting a Lenten fish fry every Friday of Lent from 11 AM to 7 PM. You can eat in or take out. They’ll also have homemade pies and rice pudding. Factory orders must be in by 10 AM. Call 759-8113 to order ahead. The church is located on Fowler Avenue in Berwick.
All Day Clothing Collections AGAPE is accepting donations of clean good-condition clothing and shoes Friday and Monday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. They are not currently accepting children’s or infant clothing. Donations may be dropped off at AGAPE’s location on East 7th Street in Bloomsburg.
All Day Scriptual Lenten Series St. Cyril Spiritual Center in Danville is hosting a Scriptural Lenten Series starting Monday February 18th for 7 consecutive Mondays. The sessions will be held morning and evening…with the hope to help participants grow progressively in grace and in spiritual freedom. You can attend one day or the entire series. All Day Columbia Count Bicentennia Celebration Join in for the Columbia County Bicentennial 200th Anniversary Celebration on Friday March 22nd and Saturday March 23rd. The celebration begins at Noon on Friday with a Re-Enactment of Columbia County separating from Northumberland Count at the Courthouse. Then on Friday evening, a free concert by the Navy Band Northeast. Events on Saturday March 23rd are from 11 AM to 9 PM at the Bloomsburg Fairgrounds Arts And Crafts Building. There will be vendors, games, door prizes, and free entertainment. Other Saturday events include a 5K Walk/ Run at Noon, a Parade at 2 PM, The Time Capsule at 7 PM and then Fireworks at Dusk.
All Day American Cancer Societ Wig Program The American Cancer Society is providing free wigs and head coverings for any woman who is experiencing hair loss as a result of cancer treatment. According to a recent study, nearly 60 percent of women consider hair loss the most dreaded side effect of cancer treatment. Appointments for the wig program can be made by calling 1-800-227-2345.
All Day Art Installation Project Bloomsburg University’s Haas Center for the Arts will soon become home to an original art piece designed to celebrate the collaboration of the university and the greater Bloomsburg community. The piece, titled Confluence, will be a 7 foot by 60 foot depiction of the growth and activity of a small town and how the beauty of nature has inspired a wealth of visual art and cultural enrichment in the area. 19 Susquehanna River Artists have collaborated to construct 18 large tiles that will be installed every two weeks until the piece is completed on May 3rd.
All Day Rummage and Bake Sale First Presbyterian Church of Bloomsburg is hosting their annual spring rummage and bake sale this weekend. The sale is Friday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Saturday is bag day and sale hours are 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Proceeds from the sale help to fund mission projects…the church is located at 345 Market Street in Bloomsburg.
