7:00AM 1:00PM Breakfast and Brunch Buffet The Potts Grove Fire Company is serving up an All-You-Can-Eat Breakfast and Brunch Buffet on Sunday March 17th from 7 AM to 1 PM at the Potts Grove Fire Hall. The menu includes eggs, homefries, sausage, scrapple, bacon, sausage gravy and more. Brunch begins at 10 AM and has a new menu each month. Cost is $8 for you and $4 for children 4 to 12. Proceeds Benefit the Potts Grove Fire Company. The Potts Grove Fire Company is located on Route 642.
12:00PM 6:00PM Corned Beef Brisket & Cabbage Dinner The Catawissa VFW is serving up a Corned Beef Brisket & Cabbage Dinner on Sunday March 17th from 12 to 6 PM. Dinner includes corned beef brisket, cabbage, potatoes, and dessert. Cost is $8 for you and $4.50 for children. Take out is available. The dinner is sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 8306
2:00PM 4:00PM Saint Patty's Children's Party The Kidsburg 2.0 committee is hosting a Saint Patty’s Children’s Party at My Town in the Columbia Mall on Sunday March 17th from 2 to 4 PM. Green clothes and costumes are encouraged. The will be stories, games, crafts, and Pickles the Clown. Cost is $5 per child. All proceeds benefit Kidsburg 2.0 to help rebuild the beloved playground.
3:00PM 6:00PM Flood Stories, Too The Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble joins the Bloomsburg University Players and the Bloomsburg Bicentennial Choir to present Flood Stories, Too. They transform your words and your stories about the record-breaking flood caused by Tropical storm Lee in the fall of 2011 into an epic production of heartbreak and survival. Performances will be from March 7th to March 17th. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evening performances begin at 7:30 PM. There are also afternoon performances on Saturday at 2PM and Sunday at 3 PM. All performances are pay what you wish.
3:00PM 8:00PM Library Diners' Club The Bloomsburg Public Library’s Diners’ Club meets this month at the Lightstreet Hotel on Sunday March 17th between 3 and 8 PM and also on Wednesday March 20th between 5 and 9 PM. Pick up a voucher at the Library or print one from their website and twenty percent of your check will be donated to the Library.
All Day Flood Stories, Too The BU Players join forces with BTE and the Bloomsburg Bicentennial Choir to present “Flood Stories, Too”, from March 7th to March 17th at the Alvina Krause Theater. “Flood Stories, Too” is a transformation of your words and stories about the record-breaking flooding in the Fall of 2011 following Tropical Storm Lee. All Day Scriptual Lenten Series St. Cyril Spiritual Center in Danville is hosting a Scriptural Lenten Series starting Monday February 18th for 7 consecutive Mondays. The sessions will be held morning and evening…with the hope to help participants grow progressively in grace and in spiritual freedom. You can attend one day or the entire series. All Day American Cancer Societ Wig Program The American Cancer Society is providing free wigs and head coverings for any woman who is experiencing hair loss as a result of cancer treatment. According to a recent study, nearly 60 percent of women consider hair loss the most dreaded side effect of cancer treatment. Appointments for the wig program can be made by calling 1-800-227-2345.
All Day Art Installation Project Bloomsburg University’s Haas Center for the Arts will soon become home to an original art piece designed to celebrate the collaboration of the university and the greater Bloomsburg community. The piece, titled Confluence, will be a 7 foot by 60 foot depiction of the growth and activity of a small town and how the beauty of nature has inspired a wealth of visual art and cultural enrichment in the area. 19 Susquehanna River Artists have collaborated to construct 18 large tiles that will be installed every two weeks until the piece is completed on May 3rd.
6:30PM 8:30PM Hymn Sing You’re invited to an old fashioned hymn sing on Sunday March 17th at Bloomsburg Christian Church at 6:30 PM. Musical accompaniment by piano and organ. Bring your friends along…there will be an ice cream social to follow. The church is located on Duessen Drive off Route 11 in Bloomsburg.
