8:00AM 10:00AM Flapjack Breakfast The Bloomsburg American Legion, Legion Riders are hosting a Flapjack Breakfast at the Bloomsburg Applebees on Saturday February 23rd from 8 to 10 AM. The Legion Riders is a motorcycle club that raises funds for their veterans and active duty members. Tickets are $7.50 for you and $3.50 for children under 12. Tickets can be bought at the door. All proceeds support the veteran and active duty members.
10:00AM 3:00PM Children's Fair The Columbia Mall will host their annual Children's Fair on Saturday February 23rd from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Hands on activities for children and information for parents about children's health and welfare will be available. Admission is free.
10:00AM 12:00PM Trains The Free Saturday Trains Program at Christ Memorial Episcopal Church in Danville is open this Saturday from 10:00 AM to Noon. The church is located at the corner of Pine and East Market Streets in Danville.
10:00AM 12:00PM Ladies' Spring Brunch Grace Bible Church will be holding a Ladies’ Spring Brunch on Saturday March 9th from 10 AM to 12 PM. The Speaker will be Judy Batdorf and her topic will be “Reflection of a Lovely Lady – Christ Likeness”. All ladies are invited and there is no charge. Everyone is welcome and there will be free coffee and snacks. The meeting will be at the Spirit Life Church on Old Berwick Road in Bloomsburg.
11:00AM 7:00PM Spaghetti Dinner The Men of Wesley will be serving the 64th annual Spaghetti Dinner on Saturday February 23rd from 11 AM to 7 PM. All you can eat spaghetti dinner with salad and dessert included. Take out is also available. Tickets are $8 for you and $3 for children 6 to 12 and can be bought at the door or in advance in the church office. The Wesley United Methodist Church is located on Third and Market Streets in Bloomsburg.
3:00PM 7:00PM All You Can Eat Haddock Fish Dinner The Montour-DeLong Fairgrounds is serving up an All-You-Can-Eat Haddock Fish Dinner on Saturday February 23rd from 3 to 7 PM. Cost is $12 for you and $6 for children 6 to 12. Any active military person who comes in uniform will receive their dinner for free. Take out is available at 437-2178. The Montour-DeLong Fairgrounds is located on Broadway Road in Danville.
All Day Artspace Gallery The Susquehanna River Arts group will have a show at Artspace Gallery in Bloomsburg running Thursday January 17th through Sunday February 24th. The group is made up for artists living in Columbia and Montour Counties through several different art mediums. Stop by to view their work. There will be an artist reception with light refreshments open to the public Saturday January 19th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
All Day Children's Health Fair The Columbia Mall will host its annual Children’s Health Fair Saturday, February 23rd. There will be lots of free exhibits and demonstrations. The Loose Ties Model Railroad Society will open its huge free operating display of more than 60 trains and 10 thousand feet of track, more track and rolling stock than Roadside America. The Loose Ties Model Railroad will be open from 10 AM to 5 PM.
All Day Big Brothers Big Sisters Big Brothers Big Sisters of The Bridge, which serves Columbia and Luzerne Counties, is looking for volunteers. There are currently 250 children on their waiting list, and you can help with just an hour or two per day. All Day Musicians Wanted Father’s Hope is looking for young musicians to participate in their Kickoff Fundraiser Concert that will be held on Saturday April 20th. Father’s Hope is Milton-based orphan outreach project that sends fun, comfort, and care items to orphanages around the world. The concert is designed to be a fun evening for the entire family and will feature local residents in or near their teens and 20’s sharing their musical talents with the community. All Day Beacon Lodge Camp The Pennsylvania Lions Beacon Lodge Camp is happy to announce its 2013 camping season, which opens June 1st and closes August 13th. Camp sessions are six or ten days based on eligibility criteria. This season marks the 65 consecutive years of camping. The camps mission is to provide individuals with special needs the opportunity to enjoy a camping experience encompassing recreational, educational and personal enhancement. All Day Scriptual Lenten Series St. Cyril Spiritual Center in Danville is hosting a Scriptural Lenten Series starting Monday February 18th for 7 consecutive Mondays. The sessions will be held morning and evening…with the hope to help participants grow progressively in grace and in spiritual freedom. You can attend one day or the entire series.
