12:00PM 4:00PM Train Display The Loose Ties Model Railroad Club will open their huge display of operating trains this weekend at the Columbia Mall in Bloomsburg. The display will be open from Noon to 5:00 PM Saturday, and Noon to 4:00 PM on Sunday. They feature more than 60-trains with 10,000 feet of track.
1:00PM 4:00PM Open House The Columbia-Montour Area Vocational-Technical School will be hosting their annual Open House on Sunday, February 10th from 1-4 PM. The general public as well as prospective students and their families are urged to explore the facility while demonstrations and hands-on activities will be ongoing in each of their 16 training programs.
1:00PM 4:00PM Bloomsburg Y Community Day The Bloomsburg YMCA would like to thank the community by offering a free fun-filled day to all on Sunday February 10th from 1 to 4 PM. There will be classes and activities for all ages including: Zumba, gymnastics, mommy and me class, basketball and soccer clinics, and much more. Light refreshments and tours of the main building will also be available. There will also be a drawing for a free 6-month YMCA membership. The Bloomsburg YMCA is located on 7th Street.
3:00PM 6:00PM Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser Relay for Life of Bloomsburg will be having a Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser on Sunday February 10th from 3 to 6 P.M. The fundraiser will be at the Morris Family Restaurant on Route 11 towards Danville. The cost for you is $7 and $5 for children 10 and under.
All Day Artspace Gallery The Susquehanna River Arts group will have a show at Artspace Gallery in Bloomsburg running Thursday January 17th through Sunday February 24th. The group is made up for artists living in Columbia and Montour Counties through several different art mediums. Stop by to view their work. There will be an artist reception with light refreshments open to the public Saturday January 19th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
All Day Flapjack Fundraiser Breakfast The Bloomsburg Girls Basketball Boosters is having a flapjack fundraiser breakfast on Sunday, February 10th from 8:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. at Applebee’s on Columbia Boulevard in Bloomsburg. Tickets are $7.00 per person and $5.00 for kids under 12.
All Day Big Brothers Big Sisters Big Brothers Big Sisters of The Bridge, which serves Columbia and Luzerne Counties, is looking for volunteers. All Day Musicians Wanted Father’s Hope is looking for young musicians to participate in their Kickoff Fundraiser Concert that will be held on Saturday April 20th. Father’s Hope is Milton-based orphan outreach project that sends fun, comfort, and care items to orphanages around the world. The concert is designed to be a fun evening for the entire family and will feature local residents in or near their teens and 20’s sharing their musical talents with the community. All Day Beacon Lodge Camp The Pennsylvania Lions Beacon Lodge Camp is happy to announce its 2013 camping season, which opens June 1st and closes August 13th. Camp sessions are six or ten days based on eligibility criteria. This season marks the 65 consecutive years of camping. The camps mission is to provide individuals with special needs the opportunity to enjoy a camping experience encompassing recreational, educational and personal enhancement. All Day Bingo The Bloomsburg High School Band Boosters are hosting a Pampered Chef Bingo on Sunday at the Bloomsburg Middle School Cafeteria. Doors open at 12:30 PM, games start at 2:00 PM. It’s twenty games for twenty dollars, and extra cards will be available for purchase. They’ll have door prizes and a Chinese auction along with food and snacks to purchase. All proceeds support the Bloomsburg High School Band.
