||Open Lap Swim
||The Bloomsburg Middle School pool will open Wednesday September 5th for lap swim and water aerobics. Hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 5:30 AM to 6:50 AM. Cost is two dollars.
||Free Developmental Screening
||A Free Developmental Screening for three and four year old children who are residents of the Southern Columbia Area School District is scheduled for Wednesday, November 14th , from 9:00AM to 1:45PM at the G.C. Hartman Elementary Center. The screening will cover hearing, speech, vision, gross, and fine motor skills, personal and social skills, adaptive behavior, cognitive skills, and height and weight. ||BCC Free Library
||The Bloomsburg Christian Church Free Library is open every Wednesday from 10:00 am to 7:30 PM. They have works of fiction, children & teen books, non-fiction, music, dvds and more. The library is located at the church on Duessen Drive off of Route 11 South in Bloomsburg.
||BPL Story Time
||Bloomsburg Public Library will be hosting a half hour of story time 10:00AM Wednesdays throughout the fall for 3-5 year olds. Come join them for a half hour of reading followed by coloring, an adult must be present.
||Open Bowling at the Moose Exchange
||Open Bowling will be going on at the Moose Exchange on Fridays from 5:00PM to 8:00PM, and Saturdays, 10:00AM to 2:00PM. Five dollars per person includes bowling shoes, balls, and hours of fun! Book your party or group for only $50 an hour, which includes six lanes, balls, and shoes. For more information call 317-2596.
||Community of Christ Church has free Zumba classes in Bloomsburg Wednesday nights from 5:30 to 6:30 PM. For information call 759-2662. The church is located at 750 Market Street in Bloomsburg.
||Toys for Tots
||The annual Toys for Tots Campaign will run October 1st through December 22nd. Keep your eyes open for drop off boxes in our area to donate new unwrapped toys for children in need in our area to make their Christmas special. You can bring donations of toys for this year's campaign to the WHLM Studios location on East Main Street in Downtown Bloomsburg.
||Ceramic Crock Sale
||The Bloomsburg Public Library is offering their first “Historic Bloomsburg” series of ceramic crocks to commemorate Bloomsburg's iconic buildings. In honor of their first release they will feature the 1925 Bloomsburg Public Library building on this year's crock. To see a sample and order your crock just stop by their location on Market Street in Bloomsburg. Orders are being accepted through the end of the year....proceeds benefit the library's programs.
||Florida Citrus Sale
||The Berwick Kiwanis Club is now accepting orders for their annual Florida citrus sale. Orders for seedless naval oranges and ruby red grapefruit will be taken through November 21st. Fruit will be available for pickup Saturday December 1st at the Metrocast warehouse. To order call 759-8272.
