7:30AM 12:00PM Run for the Cause Berwick will be hosting the 4th Annual Run for the Cause, a 4.5 mile run/walk to benefit the Nespoli Family Foundation. Going on Saturday, November 3rd, at Fuel Fitness, 2009 West Front Street, Berwick, PA. Registration begins at 7:30AM, Race begins at 9:30AM.
9:00AM 11:00AM Family Fun Run The Children's Museum will host a family fun run on Saturday November 3rd. Your family will meet at the Bloomsburg Library on Market Street from 9:00 to 10:00 am to register, fee is $5.00 per entry. Then your entire family...including non-humans...will walk, run, ride...even skip, jump or fly to the Museum. There will be obstacles and challenges along the way. Prizes for best dressed, last, first and middle place...youngest, oldest and best mode of transportation. They're even giving out an award to the biggest team and best non-human participant. It's the Children's Museum Family Fun Run.
9:00AM 11:00AM DACC 5K The Danville Area Community Center presents their 17th annual 5K race on Saturday November 3rd. The race starts at 9:00 am. Find registration and fee information online at
9:00AM 1:00PM Fair Trade Fair St. Matthew Lutheran Church on North Market Street in Bloomsburg will host their third annual Fair Trade Fair on Saturday November 3rd from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. There will be crafts along with coffee, tea and chocolate. All products are handmade by artisans and farmers. This year's proceeds will benefit the Columbia County Volunteers in Medicine.
9:00AM 2:00PM Fall Bazaar Mahoning Presbyterian Church will host a fall bazaar on Saturday November 3rd from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. There will be plants, crafts, jewelry, a bake sale, lunch and soups to go. The church is located at the corner of East Mahoning and Ferry Street in Danville.
9:00AM 12:00PM DACC 5K The Danville Area Community Center will host their 17th annual 5K on Saturday at 9:00 AM. There are fifteen age groups and trophies for the overall male and female runners. Registration is $20 day of race...and there are long-sleeved shirts for the first 200 registrants. A kids race will start at 10:00 AM...and there will be a senior course too. Proceeds from the race benefit the DACC's sponsorship program.
9:00AM 3:00PM Craft Show The Central Columbia Football Boosters Craft Show is scheduled for this Saturday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the high school. They feature over 70 vendors. The school is located on Old Berwick Road in Bloomsburg.
10:00AM 12:00PM Free to Breathe Walk The Columbia Mall will host the Free To Breathe Walk put on by Team Haney for the National Lung Cancer Partnership on Saturday November 3rd. The walk starts at 10:00 AM. They hope you'll join them to support research, awareness and advocacy.
2:00PM 4:00PM Full Size Gingerbread Houses @ the Moose Exchange The Moose Exchange will host classes this fall teaching students to design, bake, build, and decorate full-sized gingerbread houses from 2:00PM to 4:00PM on Saturday’s from October 27th, to November 17th. Cost will be $65 and include icing, dough, and in class instruction. Anyone who wishes to register, please, contact Linda Hill at 380-5596.
3:00PM 6:30PM Roast Beef Dinner St. Paul's Straub's Lutheran Church is serving up a roast beef dinner on Saturday from 3:00 to 6:30 PM. The dinner will be served family style, and take outs will be available. Homemade ice cream will be sold by the quart. The church is located at 60 Frosty Valley Road in Danville.
5:00PM 8:00PM Open Bowling at the Moose Exchange Open Bowling will be going on at the Moose Exchange on Fridays from 5:00PM to 8:00PM, and Saturdays, 10:00AM to 2:00PM. Five dollars per person includes bowling shoes, balls, and hours of fun! Book your party or group for only $50 an hour, which includes six lanes, balls, and shoes. For more information call 317-2596.
All Day Toys for Tots The annual Toys for Tots Campaign will run October 1st through December 22nd. Keep your eyes open for drop off boxes in our area to donate new unwrapped toys for children in need in our area to make their Christmas special. You can bring donations of toys for this year's campaign to the WHLM Studios location on East Main Street in Downtown Bloomsburg.
All Day Ceramic Crock Sale The Bloomsburg Public Library is offering their first “Historic Bloomsburg” series of ceramic crocks to commemorate Bloomsburg's iconic buildings. In honor of their first release they will feature the 1925 Bloomsburg Public Library building on this year's crock. To see a sample and order your crock just stop by their location on Market Street in Bloomsburg. Orders are being accepted through the end of the year....proceeds benefit the library's programs.
All Day Florida Citrus Sale The Berwick Kiwanis Club is now accepting orders for their annual Florida citrus sale. Orders for seedless naval oranges and ruby red grapefruit will be taken through November 21st. Fruit will be available for pickup Saturday December 1st at the Metrocast warehouse.
