10:00AM 6:00PM Covered Bridge and Arts Festival The 31st annual Covered Bridge and Arts Festival is happening Thursday October 4th through Sunday October 7th from 10 to 6 daily. The festival is held at Knoebels and features nearly 350 crafters and over 30 food vendors.
All Day Scarecrow Decorating Contest The Orangeville Public Library will hold a family scarecrow decorating contest this September and October. Scarecrow frames will be available at for pick up between September 17th to October 13th. Voting for the scarecrows begins October 15th. Prizes will be awarded. Call 683-5354 or stop by the library at 301 Mill Street in Orangeville for more information.
All Day Art Exhibit Northern Columbia Community and Cultural Center, Benton will be hosting a new exhibit displaying the works of Rolland Ryan and Jay McHenry. The exhibit will run through October at the N4C's in Benton. For additional information please call the Center at 925-0163.
All Day Road to Recovery Volunteers are needed for the American Cancer Society “Road to Recovery” program in our area. “Road to Recovery” offers free rides and transportation to and from treatments and medical appointments for individuals fighting cancer. Training will be held Thursday, October 4th, 2012, at 10:00AM at the American Cancer Society Office in Selinsgrove.
All Day Toys for Tots The annual Toys for Tots Campaign will run October 1st through December 22nd. Keep your eyes open for drop off boxes in our area to donate new unwrapped toys for children in need in our area to make their Christmas special. You can bring donations of toys for this year's campaign to the WHLM Studios location on East Main Street in Downtown Bloomsburg.
6:30PM 7:30PM Story Parade It’s a story parade! Readers from Bloomsburg University will be dropping by the Library at 6:30 on October 4th for an evening of stories crafts and fun. Good listeners age three and up are invited, but an adult must accompany children.
7:00PM 9:00PM Candidate Forum The candidates in the 109th District of the PA State House will participate in a candidate forum on Thursday October 4th at 7:00 PM at the Central Columbia High School auditorium. Questions will be presented to each candidate with a fixed length of time for response. There is no charge for the event. Central Columbia High School is on Old Berwick Road in Bloomsburg.
7:30PM 8:30PM La Leche League La Leche League of Bloomsburg will be meet Thursday, October 4th, 7:30PM, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Lightstreet. La Leche League provides mother-to-mother encouragement, breastfeeding information, a lending library, and baby slings.
