5:30AM 6:50AM Open Lap Swim The Bloomsburg Middle School pool will open Wednesday September 5th for lap swim and water aerobics. Hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 5:30 AM to 6:50 AM. Cost is two dollars.
10:00AM 7:30PM BCC Free Library The Bloomsburg Christian Church Free Library is open every Wednesday from 10:00 am to 7:30 PM. They have works of fiction, children & teen books, non-fiction, music, dvds and more. The library is located at the church on Duessen Drive off of Route 11 South in Bloomsburg.
10:00AM 10:30AM BPL Story Time Bloomsburg Public Library will be hosting a half hour of story time 10:00AM Wednesdays throughout the fall for 3-5 year olds. Come join them for a half hour of reading followed by coloring, an adult must be present.
10:00AM 6:00PM Vote Jam 2012 Bloomsburg University is hosting Vote Jam 2012 this Wednesday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm at the Kehr Union Ballroom on the university campus. The day features live music by student bands with speeches by local political and governmental leaders, as well as candidates. The event is coordinated by the Mass Communications Seminar course on Mass Media in American Politics and the American Democracy project at Bloomsburg University.
All Day Scarecrow Decorating Contest The Orangeville Public Library will hold a family scarecrow decorating contest this September and October. Scarecrow frames will be available at for pick up between September 17th to October 13th. Voting for the scarecrows begins October 15th. Prizes will be awarded. All Day Art Exhibit Northern Columbia Community and Cultural Center, Benton will be hosting a new exhibit displaying the works of Rolland Ryan and Jay McHenry. The exhibit will run through October at the N4C's in Benton. For additional information please call the Center at 925-0163.
All Day Toys for Tots The annual Toys for Tots Campaign will run October 1st through December 22nd. Keep your eyes open for drop off boxes in our area to donate new unwrapped toys for children in need in our area to make their Christmas special. You can bring donations of toys for this year's campaign to the WHLM Studios location on East Main Street in Downtown Bloomsburg.
