||Catawissa Borough is having a spring clean up on Saturday April 28th from 8:00 am to noon. Areas included in the clean up are Catawissa Creek, CARA Park, Eyer Park and the Susquehanna River. Materials for clean up will be provided. You can register with the borough to clean up at 356-2561 by April 18th.
||The annual Renaissance Jamboree in downtown Bloomsburg is scheduled for Saturday April 28th from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm rain or shine. Come out for a day of food, fun, crafts, and much more all on Main Street in Bloomsburg.
||The Free Saturday Trains Program at Christ Memorial Episcopal Church in Danville will be open on Saturday from 10:00 am to noon. The display features their talking train along with dozens of trains for you and your kids to play with. The church is located at the corner of Pine and East Market Streets in Danville.
||The Columbia Montour Chapter of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International will meet on Saturday April 28th at 10:00 am. This month’s guest speaker is Petra Gleboki who was delivered from drugs and alcohol. You’re invited to join them at Bloomsburg Community Church on West Street in Bloomsburg…there will be free snacks and coffee.
||Library Grand Opening
||Bloomsburg Christian Church’s Free Library grand opening is scheduled for Saturday April 28th from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. The library will feature over 1000 works of fiction, Children & teen books, non-fiction, videos, dvds, and more. The library will be open to the public ever Wednesday from 10:00 am to 7:30 PM after April 28th.
||Local Police Departments and the Columbia County Conservation district will be taking back unwanted prescription drugs this Saturday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Police departments involved include Bloomsburg, Berwick, Catawissa, Locust Township, and South Centre Township. The free, no questions asked service allows you to drop off unwanted prescription medication for disposal at the mentioned police departments.
||The Orangeville Public Library invites you out to meet local author Becky Westover to discuss her family adventure book, “The Fireplace.” Becky will be at the Orangeville library on Saturday April 28th at 11:00 am. The library is located on Mill Street in Orangeville.
||SPCA Open House
||The Pennsylvania SPCA Danville Shelter will hold a community open house on Saturday April 28th from Noon to 4:00 pm. They’ll have lots of activities planned for your family to enjoy. Plan to stop by the shelter and meet the staff, donate some blankets or toys, and even sign up to volunteer. For more information call 275-0340.
||BTE Penn's Pals
||The Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble’s 34th annual theatre in the classroom production of Penn’s Pal will be preformed on Friday March 30th at 7:00 PM at Greenwood Friends School, Saturday March 31st at 3:00 PM at the Bloomsburg Public Library, and Saturday April 28th at 2:00 PM at Phillips’ Emporium. All performances are free.
||The Montour-Delong Fairground Association are serving up an all you can eat haddock fish dinner this Saturday from 3:00 to 7:00 pm. Dinners are $12.00 for you, $6.00 for your kids ages 6 to 12 and free for children younger and active military personnel who come dressed in uniform. The fairgrounds are located on Broadway Road in Danville.
||Ice Cream Festival
||Town Hill United Methodist Church invites you to an ice cream festival on Saturday April 28th from 4:30 to 6:30 PM. The menu is a la carte featuring homemade soups, sandwiches, ice cream, pies, and cakes. The church is located on Town Hill Road in Shickshinny.

||The Animal Resource Center presents another night of “Wine and Music” on Saturday April 28th at 6:00 PM at Spyglass Ridge Winery. There will be a silent auction. Call 490-7298 for tickets.
||Plant Seedling Sale
||The Columbia County Conservation District is having their annual native plant/seedling sale this week to support their environmental education program. Pickup dates are this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at the conservation district on Sawmill Road in Bloomsburg. For information call 784-1310.
||BU Concert Choir
||The Bloomsburg University Concert Choir Spring Concert is scheduled for Saturday April 28th at 7:30 PM. It’s happening at First Presbyterian Church on Market Street in Bloomsburg.
