Bloomsburg University at Shippensburg November 17

 

Running back Franklyn Quiteh ran for two first half touchdowns as Bloomsburg led 14-13 at halftime, but Shippensburg's offense exploded in the second half to score 45 unanswered points to crush the Huskies 58-20. Red Raider quarterback Zach Zulli completed 26 of 35 passes for 479 yards and three touchdowns as Shippensburg advanced to the Super Region One semifinals with an 11-1 record. They will play unbeatean Winston Salem State Saturday in North Carolina. Franklyn Quiteh rushed for 199 yards for the Huskies who set a PSAC single season record for team rushing yards. Bloomsburg finished the season with a record of 10-2, both losses to Shippensburg.

Bloomsburg University at Slippery Rock 11/10

 

Bloomsburg built a 42-13 halftime lead and then hung on for a 49-41 win over Slippery Rock. Franklyn Quiteh ran for four touchdowns, three of them in the first hlaf. He finished the game with 183 rushing yards, going over 5000 rushing yards for his career and passing Irv Sigler for second in school history. Fellow running back Eddi Mateo went over 1000 yards for the season. That duo has helped the Huskies to a school record for rushing yards in a season. Quarterback Tim Kelly threw touchdown passes to Kyle Fisher and Ryan Dickerson- the 7th straight game that Dickerson has caught a scoring pass. Larry Webster set a single season school record for sacks and also returned a blocked punt 18 yards for a touchdown. With the loss, Slippery Rock ended the season with a 6-5 record. The Huskies improved to 10-1 and clinched an NCAA playoff spot.

West Chester at Bloomsburg University 11/3

 

Linebacker Jarrett Pidgeon made two huge plays late in the game to preserve a 24-23 win over West Chester. Pidgeon knocked down a pass on a fourth and five play near midfield with under three minutes to play and recovered a fumble with 25 seconds to go to clinch the victory. Bloomsburg had a 14-3 lead after one quarter on two touchdown runs- 30 yards by Dai'Shon Munger and 31 yards by Franklyn Quiteh. The Huskies also got a 33 yard field goal from Dan Fisher in the second quarter, and a 28 yard touchdown pass from Tim Kelly to Ryan Dickerson in the third quarter which proved to be the game winner. It was Dickerson's 6th straight game with a touchdown reception. Bloomsburg won despite a spectacular performance by West Chester running back Rondell White who rushed for 211 yards and a touchdown and caught nine passes for 64 yards and one score. With the win, the Huskies improve to 9-1 and keep their playoff hopes alive. West Chester falls to 6-4.
