Bloomsburg University at Cheyney October 20
Franklyn Quiteh ran for two touchdowns and Tim Kelly threw touchdown passes of 42 and 28 yards to Ryan Dickerson as the Huskies overcame a great effort by underdog Cheyney to beat the Wolves 27-13. The score was tied at halftime as Cheyney's option running offense played ball control with 23 minutes and fifty seconds in time of possession to just six minutes and ten seconds for the Huskies. Bloomsburg did better at that in the second half led by Quiteh, the nation's leading rusher, who finished with 108 yards and fellow tailback Eddie Mateo who ran for 96 yards. Maybe the biggest play for the Huskies was a 4th down run for a first down from punt formation by sophomore Brody Meyers on a drive that led to the clinching score. With the win, Bloomsburg improves to 8-0. Cheyney falls to 1-7.
