Bloomsburg University at Shippensburg 10/27

In a wild game that featured over 1100 yards in combined total offense, Zach Zulli's two yard touchdown pass to Brian Barley with 4.8 seconds to play gave Shippensburg a 49-42 win over the Huskies in a battle of unbeatean teams played before a capacity crowd at Seth Grove Stadium. It was Zulli's seventh touchdown pass of the game, and it spolied a great comeback by the Huskies who trailed 35-7 at halftime. In the third quarter Bloomsburg got a 67 yard touchdwon run by Franklyn Quiteh and a 39 yard interception return for a touchdown by linebacker Jarrett Pidgeon to get closer, but Zulli's touchdown pass to Trevor Harmon made it 42-21 at the end of the quarter. Franklyn Quiteh ran for two touchdowns and Tim Kelly threw touchdown passes of 42 and 28 yards to Ryan Dickerson as the Huskies overcame a great effort by underdog Cheyney to beat the Wolves 27-13. The score was tied at halftime as Cheyney's option running offense played ball control with 23 minutes and fifty seconds in time of possession to just six minutes and ten seconds for the Huskies. Bloomsburg did better at that in the second half led by Quiteh, the nation's leading rusher, who finished with 108 yards and fellow tailback Eddie Mateo who ran for 96 yards. Maybe the biggest play for the Huskies was a 4th down run for a first down from punt formation by sophomore Brody Meyers on a drive that led to the clinching score. With the win, Bloomsburg improves to 8-0. Cheyney falls to 1-7.

East Stroudsburg at Bloomsburg University October 13

Junior running back Franklyn Quiteh and redshirt freshman quarterback Tim Kelly both had career days as the Huskies beat East Stroudsburg 48-27. Kelly threw touchdown passes of five yards to Larry Webster, 37 and 68 yards to Glen Hutton, and 72 yards to Ryan Dickerson. Kelly's four touchdown passes and 267 yards passing were both season and thus career highs. With 3:31 to go in the third quarter, the Huskies led 21-17, but with Kelly and Quiteh leading the way, Bloomsburg outscored the Warriors 27-10 the rest of the way as the Huskies improved to 7-0, 4-0 in the PSAC East.
