Kutztown at Bloomsburg University September 15
Junior Franklyn Quiteh ran for two touchdowns and caught a 65 yard touchdown pass as the Huskies beat defending PSAC Champion Kutztown 44-37 before a big Parents Day crowd at Danny Hale Field at Redman Stadium. The Huskies had a 30-21 lead early in the third quarter when Kutztown's outstanding quarterback Kevin Morton suffered a shoulder injury. He did not return to the game, but sophomore backup Josh Luckenbaugh threw two touchdown passes to keep the Golden Bears in the game. Bloomsburg quarterback Tim Kelly was 16-28 in passing for 246 yards and two touchdowns in a wild game that featured over 1000 yards in total offense. With loss, Kutztown falls to 1-2. The Huskies improve to 3-0. It was the PSAC East opener for both teams.
