Bloomsburg vs. Central 11/2/12
Two local rivals met at Bloomsburg University's Redman Stadium Friday night to finish of the regular season of high school football. The Bloomsburg and Central Columbia battled it out, and in the end Bloomsburg's Panthers came up with a 34-12 victory over the Blue Jays. Central's scoring plays came in the first and third quarters, but the team missed out on the extra points after both of those touchdowns. Bloomsburg scored twice in the first quarter with a 24-yard run by Evan Ball and a 6-yard pass from Ricky Klingerman to John Klingerman. In the second quarter Klingerman completed passes to Colby Klingerman and Tyler Vincent. The Blue Jay defense was able to stop Bloomsburg from scoring in the third quarter...but couldn't stop a fourth quarter TD between Klingerman and Ball with 4:06 left to play. Both teams move on to the district playoffs this week.
