Bloomsburg High School Two Minute Drill Archives for 2012-10

Bloomsburg vs Danville Friday October 26th


It was a tense night a Panther Stadium as both the Bloomsburg Football team and Danville's Ironmen battled it out on the field. In the end the Bloomsburg Panther's held the Ironmen off to beat them 14-12. Bloomsburg's two touchdowns came in the first half of the game...the first a 1-yard run by Evan Ball, and the second a 12-yard touchdown reception by John Klingerman. Bloomsburg will battle it out again at Panther Stadium this Friday night against the Central Columbia Blue Jays in the WHLM High School Football Game of the Week.

Bloomsburg @ Mifflinburg 10/19/12


Bloomsburg traveled to play the Mifflinburg Wildcats Friday night coming out on top 39 to 22 to stay in the hunt for the District 4 Class A playoffs. Quarterback Ricky Klingerman lead the team putting points on the scoreboard each quarter. The first set of those points came in the first two minutes of the game. The team kept up their intensity through the game, and the defense held Mifflinburg's offense to 22 points. Bloomsburg plays Danville at home this week in the WHLM High School Football Game of the Week.

Bloomsburg hung in against an overwhelming Southern team this week. Southern who had dominated opponents on offense, found a surprising test in Larry Sones' Bloomsburg team. With a final score of 32-20 in favor of Southern Columbia, Bloomsburg played a tight game on both sides of the ball, but was unraveled on special teams, where multiple turnovers put points on the board for the Tigers. The Panthers move to 5-2 and travel to Mifflinburg next week.

The Bloomsburg High School Panthers came out this week with a big victory over Muncy. Quarterback Ricky Klingerman had one of his biggest nights of the season throwing for 330 yards and leading the Panthers to their fifth consecutive win. Both teams had come into the game with one loss, but the panthers sent the game into the mercy rule with their 42-20 victory. Bloomsburg gets set to square off against Southern Columbia at Panther Stadium next week.

Bloomsburg moved to 4-1 on the legs of their most powerful running display yet, racking up over 200 yards to win 48-21 over a shorthanded Montgomery team. Evan Ball managed to score three touchdowns on the ground on only five touches, showcasing Bloomsburg’s dominance in this game. Bloomsburg will be preparing to face Muncy away this week.
